Position: Kotlin Developer
Company: Salmon
Location: Remote (from +4 GMT and to +10 GMT) or relocation to Philippines
Salary: 3500-5000$ net, ready to discuss
We are Salmon, Asian fintech start-up. We develop financial products with a focus on innovation and flexibility. We are a team of finance professionals and entrepreneurs backed by world-class investors who have the vision and capabilities to provide more inclusive financial services. We are looking for Kotlin Developer to join our team.
It would be great if you could move to Manila (we support relocation process), but we consider candidates who will work remotely from time zone from +4 GMT and to +10 GMT as well.
We have many challenges that our team has to solve quickly and efficiently. It gives a huge room for development.There are many processes to create or improve, so we are looking for someone with a systems and analytical mindset, who can offer and argue their ideas.
Your Future Tasks
- Collaborate with a team to develop banking APIs for mobile applications and various other services.
- Utilize modern technologies such as Ktor, jooq, coroutines, and Arrow to build robust and scalable solutions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of public APIs, SDKs, and frameworks to streamline internal processes.
- Integrate with other platforms and services in a scalable manner.
- Assist in building and scaling banking and partner platforms.
What we expect from candidate
- At least 3 years of software development experience in the JVM environment, familiarity with Kotlin and concurrent programming understanding is an advantage (any approach is ok: coroutines, goroutines, futures, actors, async-await, green-threads, etc.)
- Striving for quality architecture. Understanding of basic techniques (event-driven, domain-driven, etc.) and fundamental knowledges: OOP, SOLID, ACID and other.
- Understanding of how distributed systems works (cap, eventual consistency and so on)
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration, preferably Docker and Kubernetes in an AWS environment.
- Willingness to embrace continuous learning and knowledge-sharing within the team
