Job Description
A research-driven startup is building a foundation model for financial markets at the intersection of LLMs and time series. The team is looking for a Senior/Lead ML Researcher & Engineer to design compiler-based systems leveraging large language models and reinforcement learning for code optimization and hardware-aware performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop LLM-based compilers using IRs (LLVM, MLIR, CUDA, Verilog)
- Apply research from SwizzlePerf, COMPASS, Cuda-L1, etc.
- Integrate RL and meta-prompts for compilation optimization
- Build models for code analysis and hardware-level efficiency
- Prototype AI agents for compilation stages
Qualifications
- Proven experience with LLMs for code generation or compilers
- Strong research and production coding skills
- Proficiency with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Ability to collaborate with low-level engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of compilers and intermediate representations
- Experience applying LLMs for code optimization
- Background in low-level or hardware-oriented development
- Product mindset and innovation focus
Location: Remote or relocation to Serbia / Netherlands (visa support provided)
