The Verge pointed to Wall Street Journal and New York Times coverage of politicians including Greg Abbott and Josh Shapiro criticizing data-center projects they once championed. A Washington Post chart showed posts from both parties moving from mostly positive in early 2025 to mostly negative.

Nvidia bought an undisclosed minority stake in Cloverleaf, a 2024 company that assembles land and power for AI data centers. Cloverleaf will adopt Nvidia’s DSX site specification.

Starcloud extended its March $170 million Series A by $250 million at a $2.3 billion valuation. Manhattan West led; Nvidia invested $25 million.

Dario Amodei answered investor Gavin Baker’s claim that his risk warnings fueled US opposition to data centers. He said the public already distrusts companies, governments, and tech.
