Self-hosted email among top domains has halved since 2016
Artem Berezin’s OpenINTEL analysis finds self-hosted mail among the top million domains fell from 44.6% in 2016 to 22.4% in 2026. It is still the largest single category, but it is dropping about 0.5 percentage points every 30 days.
