Is this the same as blocking cookie banners with an ad blocker?

No. Filter lists often hide banners without sending a reject choice. Cookie Reject Next interacts with the dialog so your preference is submitted when the CMP allows it.

Does it send browsing data to FuriaHub?

No. Rules are bundled in the extension. Activity logs and stats stay on your device.

What if a site breaks after auto-reject?

Use Pause on this site from the popup, or add the host to the disabled list in options.

Why rejecting consent beats hiding the banner

Hiding a CMP UI does not always equal opting out of non-essential cookies.

Many annoyance lists remove the visual layer while the site may still assume consent or keep asking. Cookie Reject Next targets the reject / necessary-only path on known CMPs.

You still control categories in settings, and you can pause any site that needs a one-off exception.
