Data collection

Password Generator Next does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to the developer or any third party.

The extension does not:

• Collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information
• Record browsing history or user activity for analytics
• Send generated passwords or settings to external servers
• Use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services

Local storage

The extension stores data locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This may include:

• Password generation options (length and character set)
• A local history of recently generated passwords (if enabled)
• History size limit
• Theme preference (light, dark, or system)

This data remains on your device and is not accessible to the developer. Generated passwords are created with the Web Crypto API and never leave your browser.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions needed for its core functionality:

• storage — save your generation options, optional history, and theme locally

Remote code

Password Generator Next does not use remotely hosted code. All JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and images are bundled inside the extension package.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties. We do not use user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's core functionality.

Children's privacy

Password Generator Next is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
