Description
Bloober Team is looking for a Gameplay Programmer to help create the next generation of horror games. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining gameplay systems, collaborating with multiple departments, and contributing to the technical direction of gameplay features in a stable AA/AAA game development environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the gameplay codebase
- Prototype and implement gameplay systems
- Develop and maintain gameplay features
- Support AI, Tools, and other development teams
- Solve technical issues related to gameplay systems
- Research and evaluate new gameplay technologies and industry trends
Required Skills
- At least 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine 4, Unreal Engine 5, or equivalent
- Experience prototyping and implementing gameplay systems
- Experience working on UE-based AA or AAA games in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of C++
- Experience with Gameplay Ability System
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine animation systems
- Strong understanding of gameplay design patterns in Unreal Engine 5
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X development
- Experience optimising code for consoles
- Experience with decision-making systems beyond Behaviour Trees
- Experience with different character animation approaches
- Experience with C# or Python scripting
- Good understanding of World Partition
